Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Vero ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App. Vero is operated by Vero Financial Inc. ("we," "us," or "our").

1. Description of Service

Vero is a personal financial management application that allows you to:

  • Connect your financial accounts through Plaid
  • View aggregated account balances and transactions
  • Interact with an AI assistant to ask questions about your finances
  • Track spending, set budgets, and receive insights

Vero is not a financial advisor. The App provides information and tools for personal financial management but does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Always consult qualified professionals for financial decisions.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a legal resident of the United States to use Vero. By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

3. Account Registration

To use Vero, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

4. Financial Account Connections

Vero uses Plaid Inc. to connect to your financial institutions. By connecting accounts:

  • You authorize Plaid to access your financial data on your behalf
  • You agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy
  • You acknowledge that data accuracy depends on your financial institutions
  • You may disconnect accounts at any time through the App settings

5. AI Assistant Limitations

Vero includes an AI-powered assistant. You acknowledge that:

  • AI responses are generated automatically and may contain errors
  • The AI provides general information, not personalized financial advice
  • You should verify important information independently
  • AI capabilities may change or be updated without notice

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use automated systems to access the App without permission
  • Share your account credentials with others

7. Intellectual Property

Vero and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Vero Financial Inc. and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VERO FINANCIAL INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, DATA LOSS, OR FINANCIAL LOSSES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS, IF ANY.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vero Financial Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App or by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
